Loved it!!! We hadn't been since all the new parts opened. Its fantastic, takes longer to get through as its bigger. My boys loved seeing all the aminals then getting to have a play in the playground and the food was good and the Rhino cafe too!
Went for the 2nd time it's been a few years. Definitely an awesome up grade and probably better to go when it isn't hot. They have a few different things happening there now bigger. Would be awesome if they could expand the aquarium. If you are visiting go to the parts where the zoo keepers explain a bit about the animals etc good info and insight
It truly is one of the best institutions in Canberra. There are a wonderful assortment of animals, but you can't go past the meerkats for the best entertainment. The staff are very informative and knowledgeable. The parks has plenty shady spots to have a rest. But go early in summer as it get hot very quickly.
We always have such a lovely time at the national zoo & aquarium. We have been lucky enough to have memberships so are able to go all the time and it never disappoints. The staff are always smiling, the animals look so well looked after and the displays are so beautiful. It's a tranquil walk through the zoo and there are lovely places to stop in shade and have a sit and snack. The aquarium and reptile displays are small but much like the rest of the zoo, it's beautifully done and the range of animals are fantastic. I honestly feel so proud that such a wonderful zoo is in my hometown. Do yourself favour and splurge on a membership! It's the best activity for the family.
Lovely place. Otters are amazing. Could stay there all day and watching them. One of the bests gift shops. Spent a lot of money there. Highly recommend to visit not only for kids. For adult also good adventure and nice walk
